We were lucky to see up to 6 pelicans over there! The couple organizing the feeding is very lovely and give much information about the pelicans and the region. Please don’t forget to give a small donation - it’s really nice what the volunteers are doing there every day.

A wonderful morning spent learning about these beautiful birds. Our volunteer (one of seven) was fantastic and full of knowledge. They give the kids the opportunity to feed the pelicans which was awesome. A visit to Kalbarri is not complete until you do this.

The pelicans are fed every morning at 9am, try to be there early as it is a popular activity and doesn't last too long. It's very clear where to go with the bench and signpost. There is parking at the beach. This is run by volunteers, they appreciate a gold coin donation if you're able so they can buy the fish for these magnificent birds!

The pelican feeding happens every morning by volunteers. There are benches and a small fence where it happens so it's not too hard to miss. It was informative and quite exciting waiting for them to show up. Apparently, they don't always show up so it was nice having quite a few of them turn up.Everything is done on a volunteer basis including the fish for feeding. They offered the fish to the kids first and offered it to other people afterwards. It was nice watching the fish flying through the air and getting to their target, or not.It was something different to do when there. It is free but they do ask for a gold coin donation afterwards to help keep it going. It was worth the early morning start to see something a bit different.

Every morning at 08.45 the local pelicans are fed on the foreshore, and we were allowed to watch, listen to the lady or man (volunteer feeders) talk to us about the birds (although they were difficult to hear, so a kind of loudspeaker might be good at some point, please?), and we could even feed the pelicans. A donation is requested, to pay for the fish. It's a lovely experience, and different every time. The gulls are of course also in on the act!

Very informative & kudos to the volunteers. A must see when you come to Kalbarri. The feeding session start at 8.45am. After that we had breakfast at cafe nearby. Pelican’s cafe if I’m not mistaken.
